Care Home Description

We support and encourage the people who use our service to be empowered (the residents have control over their everyday life). We believe that every person with a disability has a fundemental right to control their lives as is the right which all none disabled people take for granted.
The residents are represented on the Executive Council which is responsible for overall management of Lincolnshire House. One resident is the chairperson of the Executive Council. Residents have their own committees and represented on fund raising committees and are involved int he selection of staff.
Residents social, educational and emotional needs are met by a dedicated staff team.
Residents live in their own self-contained bungalows and reside with their friends. Everyone has their own single room living in groups of three, four or five and others in single flats all with en-suites.
Residents have an active social life which includes activities. This includes swimming, bowling, education, kurling, soccial club, snoozelen, baking, having fun, health and beauty and many, many other activities. Staff also escort residents on holidays.
The staff and volunteers at Lincolnshire House are valued and everyone is treated as an individual. Lincolnshire House not only has three stars with CQC, four stars for Environmental Health, Gold Award QDS but we are now working towards Investors in People.

I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR FORTY YEARS AND SERVE AS CHAIRPERSON ON OUR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

WHAT MAKES OUR HOME GREAT? WELL THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS: THE INDIVIDUALS HERE ARE ENCOUARAGED NOT ONLY TO MAKE DECISIONS AFFECTING THEIR OWN LIFE, BUT IN THE HOME IS RUN.

WE ARE ONE BIG HAPPY FAMILY AND HAVE A VERY DEDICATED STAFF WHO GIVE A HIGH QUALITY OF CARE.

My son Paul has been at Lincolnshire House for 36 years and is very happy there. The standard of care is excellent and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Paul enjoys all the activities that are going on especially the Bowls, and meals out. He certainly would'nt want to live anywhere else
Graham Taylor from West Midlands says:
As Patron of Lincolnshire House I have an insight into the running and care of this home. Starting with manager Ian Millard the staff are totally dedicated to making sure that the residents needs are of primary importance and in doing this they have created a sense of belonging, warmth and humour that is so apparent when you first enter the building. I cannot speak highly enough of the relationships between staff and residents which is surely the core matter when looking for a care home of the highest order.
Sue&Bob Eynott from south yorkshire says:
Our daughter Louise lived the last 6 years of her life very happy at Lincolnshire House. As parents you are encouraged to become involved as we still are.The staff are careing, dedicated and very friendly as are the residents.A wonderful place to live and visit,we have made some good friends.
Jacqueline Newborough from Grimsby says:
'.. It is a residential home for adults with cerebral palsy related conditions.
My son Paul has been there for 11 years and he has had absolutely superb care, not just care but everything he could wish for to live as normal a life as he can with his severe disability. Since Paul has been there they have totally revamped the place, through fund raising, and the 30 residents now live in small family groups in absolutley wonderful bungalows, the kind anyone would like to live in, disabled or not, with 24 hour care, and the ability to make their own day to day decisions... I cannot praise the staff enough. If you would like to know anything else I would be more than happy to help..' (extract from an email received by best-care-home.co.uk)
Richard Blades from Lincolnshire says:
'..My sister has lived there over 40 years very happily through various systems of care ideas and the care staff throughout those years have been wonderful. It has always encouraged learning and self occupation but is now truly in the 21st century the updates to living accommodation are second to none and this is reflected by the residents in their attitudes and smiling faces ,the minute you step into their world you can see and feel the love and care received and given . The care staff are more an extended family and their families also become a part of everyones lives. A truly mini Wonderland..' (extract from an email received by best-care-home.co.uk)
Dawn McCool from North Lincolnshire says:
I have worked at Lincolnshire House since 1992, throughout this time I have seen many positive changes and the centre develop from one main building that 30 residents lived in to 6 individual purpose built bungalows that the residents now live in. It is a lovely place to work with a wonderful atmosphere, staff that are always willing to help residents achieve their potential and to ensure they are happy here. Well done to you all and long may it continue.
A parent from Lincs says:
