Awards
At best-care-home.co.uk we want to help you find the best care home or domiciliary agency.
The best-care-home awards encourage you to vote for the care home or agency that you believe deserves recognition.
This will enable others, through your personal recommendation to appreciate what these homes and domiciliary agencies have to offer and help them to choose the best care.
This award is only open to nursing homes, residential care homes and domiciliary care agencies that have been awarded a 3 star, 'Excellent' rating by the Care Quality Commission, which is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. In order to cast your vote you must leave your address or email address.
On the 18th May 2010 the Care Quality Commission announced that they will be phasing out the star rating system. At best-care-home.co.uk we are dedicated to promoting the best-care-in England and will continue to follow the CQC grading system until such time as their is a replacement quality control system. The competition therefore remains open only to those who have achieved a 3 star rating.
The closing date to cast your vote is the 31st December 2010. The winner will be announced on January 31st 2011.
If you would like to leave a more detailed recommendation find your chosen care home on best-care-home.co.uk. When you have found the dedicated page that provides full details, click on the 'nominate button' in the top right hand corner. Your vote will then be counted and you can leave a longer comment than the box provided on this page.
The winners of each category will receive a professional video of their service valued at £2,000 and as a result of the success of the 2009 awards we have decided to split the care home award into two categories. The small care home category, for homes with under 20 registered beds and the large care home category, for homes with 20 beds or more.
The award is divided into four regions;
The North, The Midlands, South East, South West.
There will be a winner and two runners up for each of the four regions
There will be one overall winner for the domiciliary agencies, with two runners up.
